The Robocat Blog

A stream by the iOS developers over @robocat. We build stuff.

Hi Guys! Guess what? The Roskilde 2011 App is now live in the App Store! We’ve worked our butts off to get this thing ready for you and it’s a huge milestone for us. Not just because it’s our idea of a modern festival app packed with neat artist info, high res images and a schedule you won’t go mad trying to use, but because in this app we’ve included the beginning of something new…

For months we’ve secretly been laboring away building a new Danish picture service called X.dk. We’re not entirely ready to unveil everything, but in many ways the inclusion of the picture service in this app is the grand rehearsal for this budding new site. And while the Festival is rocking, Roskildeapp.com & X.dk will collect every picture, comment and picture reply taken with the app and weave a digital memory of your festival moments. X.dk is currently closed for signups, but by creating an X.dk profile through the Roskilde App, you’ll effectively become our first wave of users and be able to use the site after the festival as well.

We hope you’ll use the build-in camera and interact with the people uploading pictures. It’s our dream that this open festival photostream is going to add a completely new digital dimension to your festival experience and we hope you’ll help us usher in this new era of event picture sharing!
